Annual Met Gala had totally different conception. Unlike last year’s punk style 2014 Met Gala was all about luxurious gowns and flawless feminine images. The Metropolitan Museum of Art was full of inspiring images and now we can enjoy them.

Braids will always be trendy; for 2014 Met Gala many celebrities chose simple braided hairstyles. Kristen Stewart completed dress and smokey eye makeup with fishtail braid. Side parted hair beautifully opened her face. Emma Stone chose more relaxed and girlish look while Ivanka Trump chose sophisticated beehive bun with braided strands. Joan Smalls and Janelle Monae also chose simple braided hairstyles that looked really beautiful with evening gowns.

Retro hairstyles are again trendy and 2014 Met Gala was a perfect occasion to wear retro design. One of the most iconic images was Blake Lively’s side swept wavy hairstyle that was a gorgeous complement to her luxurious dress. Taylor Swift also chose retro image with loose waves, cat eye makeup and sultry red lips.
