Jewelry Collector, Barbara Berger is in New York for  the opening of her show at The Museum of Arts and Design. If you like the necklace she is wearing above, this is only a hint of the sparkle and dazzle you'll see on display at MAD through January 2014.

This woman looked absolutely delightful for a day of shopping in the West Village. It was one of the hottest days of the year and she still managed to keep her cool!

Midsummer Night Swing At Lincoln Center

Tonight I attended the opening of the Midsummer Night Swing concert series at Lincoln Center. Wynton Marsalis and the Lincoln Center Jazz Orchestra performed wonderful jazz standards while an enthusiastic crowd danced the night away. I was delighted to see one of my favorite ladies, Lana Turner, looking as gorgeous as ever in a vintage dress and amazing swan sunglasses. I can't wait to post more photos from this incredible evening soon...

Bejeweled at The Museum Of Arts and Design

Yesterday I attended the opening of Fashion Jewelry: The Collection of Barbara Berger at The Museum of Arts and Design. There were so many incredibly dressed attendees including one of Barbara's dearest friends above.  If you are in New York between now and next January, this show of over 450 pieces from Barbara's extraordinary collection is a must see!!! A Visit to Provincetown

For the last 50 years Ilona has been spending her summers in Provincetown, Mass. She fills her days with swimming and painting and drawing in her bay side studio. Visiting Ilona on the Cape is always one of the highlights of my summer. Check out the video of Ilona singing Happy Birthday to our dear friend Kristopher below. I was on my way to an appointment on the Upper West Side yesterday, when I decided to drop in to say hello to Lynn Dell at Off Broadway. You'd never be able to guess that she broke her foot a couple of days ago, as she looked gorgeous as ever in an orange turban and brand new embellished cotton tunic.

A Tea Party At Debra's

Wherever Debra Rapoport goes she seems to pick up a new friend. A few weeks ago she invited everyone over for a wonderful tea party, where we all had the chance to meet and celebrate the beginning of Summer together.

I spotted this lady on a very windy in Amsterdam. She was a great sport, standing for a quick photo, as the wind blew her hair in every direction.

A Visit to Orchard Cove

A few weeks ago I had the pleasure of visiting Orchard Grove, one of Hebrew Senior Life's retirement communities outside of Boston. I am always interested in visiting senior communities and was very impressed by the philosophy and services offered by Hebrew Senior Life. Their attitude towards aging was totally in line with Advanced Style with their staff encouraging residents to build a community, be active, and continue to set goals for the future. Check out the positive affect this kind of care has had on residents Lettie and Sylvia in the video  below.

Linda Rodin in Vintage Pauline Trigere

 Linda Rodin is one of the most stunning and inventive dressers I know. She picked up this great vintage skirt at a local flea market and paired it with a sheer, rhinestone, Pauline Trigere blouse.The blouse, originally part of a full dress design, was cut and discarded when she found it. With a little imagination and a great eye for details, Linda turned the remaining  fabric into a striking  top.

Wear Your Hat With Hatitude

One of the great things about getting older, is you can pull off almost any look if you carry your self with confidence. A little hatitude goes a long way.
